Business Joensuu promotes economic development in the Joensuu and Central Karelia regions, offering companies services such as consulting, training, and networking opportunities.
Business Joensuu wanted to discover new ways in which the creative industries could support companies in other sectors to grow their revenue. Another goal was to raise general awareness about the various solutions that creative industries can offer, such as advancing sales and brand development.

Tovari’s execution
The air was filled with questions like:
Is there a chance to succeed as a creative professional near the eastern border? And do companies in other sectors know how to utilize the services of creative industries to grow their business?
The solution became SOHJO – a networking event dedicated to the creative industries. We brought together local entrepreneurs from both creative and other sectors for a relaxed, afterwork-style evening featuring four diverse keynote speakers and a musical performance by a local duo. A DJ and more than 40 participants kept the evening’s atmosphere lively.
Tovari was responsible for the full production of the event, including planning and coordinating the event structure, as well as all visual communication (logos, videos, and the overall look and feel).
