Visit Karelia: Sustainability Campaign
Background
Visit Karelia wanted to clearly and effectively communicate the diverse sustainability efforts undertaken by its stakeholders — as well as the overall sustainability of vacationing in North Karelia.
VisitKarelia is the destination marketing organization (DMO) for North Karelia tourism. It develops the region’s travel industry in a sustainable, professional, and bold manner.
Sustainability in travel and consumption has become increasingly important, and it has been a consideration in North Karelia’s tourism for some time. Tovari’s task was to create content that communicates this clearly and to build carefully targeted campaigns to effectively reach the desired audiences.

What Did We Do?
Tovari produced eight articles featuring interviews with local stakeholders about their individual sustainability solutions. The articles explored the theme in a multifaceted and engaging way — without losing the unique atmosphere of North Karelia.
